See, I think I first noticed this last week. I was searching for something on the broker and wanted to set some parameters for it. I was going to change the max level from 80 to 70 and to my surprise the max level said 160. Okay, try reset button, no.. that puts it at 160 even if you changed it to let’s say 80 and then hit the reset button. There has been hot fixes since then and I have logged in since then and it still does it. I couldn’t find anything about it in an internet search so I finally decided to make a blog post about it.
Anyways, here is a screenshort, and no I haven’t changed the numbers, this is how the search window at the broker loaded.

Station Players is becoming free service and they have done re-vamps to the EQ2 site. When I first loaded the page (I have a decent computer and fast internet connection), the computer wanted to crash and there was this huge lightbox looking window that popped up. Okay, got rid of that window, then it still was taking very long to load. If you are wondering where (at least today, they might change it later) the network status link went to, it is towards the bottom of the main page on EQ2 players.
Kiara listed the info on the forums and there you can also read about the feedback to it First impressions of the new EQ2 Players.

They came back up again today. Some merchants had new stuff last month (I missed it then) and then this month I noticed a couple of new cool things. In Darklight Woods, or rather inside the mushroom zone, the merchant sells same stuff as before but also a stony Lichen square. In Antonica, namely the Enchanted Dryad Grotto there are several new cool items. I noticed three new ones. One was a watery platform (sizing it up to massive size still doesn’t make it like a pool, it stays just like it is called a “platform”). They also have a cloudy square and a starry square.

This is in response to the article What women who play EQ2 really want.
The article shows some statistics, and this is far from saying this is what all women who play eq2 want. Some of this response was in the other day’s post, but this post will focus on what I think (being a woman myself) women who play EQ2 want.
1. We like to tank and spank and/or do lots of damage. Sometimes we might like to play a healer class. Not all of us though.
2. It would be nice if the mob would bow to us when we approach it. It is okay if the mob doesn’t, it will be punished nonetheless.
3. Respect us, don’t be talking down on women you will get an angry mob on you most likely, and I’m not talking about the npcs.
4. Women do really play mmorpgs. Either like it, accept it, or get over it. Don’t question if we are female or not, does it really matter? We are in pixel land. I remember one time another player questioned if I was a female. He said, “Well, I know you aren’t female, women don’t play these games, you are a guy, that’s it.” The ignorance that player showed of course invoked a response from this iksar. I said “Well, how do I know you are a guy? You must be female that is it.” The response from the caveman (I think that is an appropriate term here) said “Of course I am a guy! I just am! I am not a girl!” He was most offended being called a female, it was quite funny I must say.
5. We like to play with a romantic partner whether it be husband, boyfriend or what not. It doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy playing the game without them.
6. We don’t necessarily prefer groups, we do like to have friends in the game (so do guys!). These days it is hard to find a group anyways (and why do people in general still not use the lfg tool? They don’t on my server at least). Soloing is a necessity sometimes when you are trying to squeeze some playtime in between work, family and what else. Groups are fun when they are good groups and it makes it easier to take out more difficult mobs. Raids can be fun if you have time for it and you like the raid atmosphere. Personally, I like going on raids, but often don’t have the time to do so.
7. Don’t say to us, “Oh well I will have to look that up on Google then!” We are perfectly capable of checking any search engine ourselves, thank you.
8. Female players do have male characters, just like guys sometimes have female characters. Don’t judge us by the pixels.
9. We like to play to have fun.
